What Erwin Can Do
Erwin handles a wide range of finance tasks that would otherwise require pulling reports manually or querying your accountant.- Answer questions about your actual financial data — not estimates or benchmarks, but your real posted transactions and balances.
- Build 13-week cash flow forecasts — projecting forward from your current cash position, scheduled payables, and expected receivables.
- Explain what caused changes in burn rate — Erwin identifies which accounts or transactions drove a variance and summarizes the root cause.
- Surface what’s needed to close the current month — Erwin reviews your close checklist and tells you exactly what remains open.
- Identify anomalies in transactions — unusual amounts, duplicate entries, or vendors that fall outside normal patterns are flagged automatically.
- Generate journal entry suggestions — Erwin proposes entries for accruals, reclassifications, or corrections based on your chart of accounts and historical patterns.
Example Prompts
Use the Erwin chat panel (accessible from any page via the Ask Erwin button in the top navigation) to type questions in natural language. Here are some prompts to get you started:How Erwin Works
Erwin reads from three sources, all within your Sintropix workspace:- Your live general ledger — every posted journal entry across all entities, updated continuously as integrations sync.
- Reconciled transaction data — matched bank movements, invoices, payroll records, and expense reports.
- Integrated data sources — CRM data from HubSpot or Salesforce (for revenue), payroll data from Buk or Rankmi, and bank data from your connected accounts.
Erwin’s answers are only as current as your last data sync. Connect all relevant banks, payroll providers, and expense tools to ensure Erwin has a complete picture. You can check integration sync status under Settings → Integrations.
