Getting up and running on Sintropix doesn’t require a lengthy implementation. You connect your entity, link your accounts, and your general ledger starts populating automatically. This guide walks you through the four steps that take you from a blank account to live financial data — and your first conversation with Erwin.
1

Create Your Account

Go to sintropix.com and sign up. During onboarding, you’ll be asked to:
  • Name your first entity — this is the legal company you’re setting up first (e.g., your US holding or your primary operating subsidiary)
  • Select your functional currency — the primary currency for that entity (USD for a US holding, CLP for a Chilean subsidiary, MXN for Mexico, etc.)
  • Choose your reporting currency — the currency used for consolidated multi-entity reports; most teams choose USD
If you operate multiple entities, you can add additional subsidiaries from Settings → Entities after completing the initial setup. Each entity has its own chart of accounts, functional currency, and tax jurisdiction.
2

Connect Your Bank Accounts

Link your bank accounts so that transactions flow into your general ledger automatically — no CSV imports, no manual entry.Navigate to Integrations → Banks and select your institution. Sintropix supports direct connections to:
  • LATAM: Santander, BCI, Banco de Chile, BICE, Itaú, BBVA, Mercado Pago, Global66
  • US: Mercury
Once connected, Sintropix pulls your transaction history and begins classifying movements against your chart of accounts. New transactions appear in your ledger within 24 hours of posting at the bank.
Connect all bank accounts for a given entity before moving on. Reconciliation works best when Sintropix has a complete picture of your cash movements.
3

Connect Your Integrations

Beyond banks, Sintropix pulls data from the tools your finance team already uses. Head to Integrations and connect what applies to your stack:
  • PayrollBuk or Rankmi: payroll runs post directly to your general ledger, with payroll tax and benefit line items broken out automatically
  • ExpensesRinde Gastos, Xpendit, or Ramp: approved expense reports create accounting entries without manual re-entry
  • CRMHubSpot or Salesforce: closed deals feed the revenue recognition engine, which maps contracts to accrual schedules automatically
  • PaymentsStripe or Mercado Pago: payment events are matched to open invoices and cash is applied in real time
Each integration is a one-time OAuth or API key connection. Once linked, data flows continuously — no scheduled exports or manual uploads required.

Meet Erwin, Your AI Finance Assistant

Once your accounts are connected and data starts flowing, open the Erwin panel from the left navigation bar. Erwin is embedded directly in your accounting data, so every answer he gives is grounded in your actual general ledger — not a summary or a static report.Start by asking him something practical:
  • “What do I need to close this month?” — Erwin reviews your close checklist and tells you exactly what’s unreconciled, unapproved, or missing
  • “Build a 13-week cash flow forecast” — Erwin projects your cash position using your current AR aging, AP schedule, and payroll commitments
  • “What’s our consolidated burn rate across all entities this quarter?” — Erwin pulls and translates data across every entity you’ve connected
  • “Why did our gross margin drop in Colombia last month?” — Erwin digs into the account-level detail and surfaces the driver
Erwin can also proactively alert you to anomalies — duplicate transactions, unusual FX exposure, accounts that are past due — before they become problems at close.
On your first connection, it can take up to 24 hours for all historical transactions to fully sync and for reconciliation suggestions to appear. Real-time transaction flow begins immediately after the initial sync completes.
